What an honour to feature the amazing work that is being done by Barkindji woman Dixie Crawford in her first podcast – A Point of View. A Point of View is a one-of-a-kind podcast challenging the stereotypes of Aboriginal people and celebrating the strength, resilience and richness of Aboriginal culture.

In the first series of A Point of View, Dixie focuses her conversation of female leadership in Aboriginal communities and the connection to culture, country, kinship and spirituality that shapes this profoundly brilliant and beautiful resistance to ‘good enough’ in Australia.

Dixie engages in raw and authentic yarns with community members and leaders who are pushing the boundaries. There is often laughter, sometimes tears but mostly words that resonate with many to inspire conscious and authentic leadership.

Dixie is a Barkindji woman from Broken Hill and Brewarrina NSW with over 13 years’ of experience in working with government, corporate and not-for-profit organisations. Her personal experiences, expertise and enthusiasm for the promotion of Aboriginal culture are highly valued by her listeners, peers and colleagues.

Dixie is obsessed with female leadership in Aboriginal communities and believes the only way forward is to truly learn from the past and create a brighter future for Aboriginal children and young people.
